Saskya Emmink-Byron, Craft Alliance & Fashion Lab

Saskya Emmink-Byron is the Development and Communications Director at Craft Alliance and has more than ten years of experience in the non-profit arts sector.  She holds a law degree from the University in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and is a passionate supporter of the arts in St. Louis.  Prior to joining Craft Alliance, she directed The Gallery at the Regional Arts Commission (RAC).  Additionally, she coordinated RAC’s marketing and communications efforts.  In 2002 she founded the Fashion Forum, resurrected at Craft Alliance as the Fashion Lab, and curated the exhibition “Dressed for Thrills:  One Hundred Years of Masques & Masquerades.”  She co-curated the exhibition “Unraveled:  Crossing the Line Between Art & Fashion” at The Sheldon and served as the publicity director for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra from November 1996 through September 2000.
